max takes a walk

for the last month or so, max likes spending most of his time outside, walking on his two back legs. so with jacket and sweaters on to protect him from the cold and wet, standing on two legs walking, he looks more and more like a small dog person. it is hilarious, and most people now ask "is he a trick dog?"
i think it just helps him see better, he does like looking for the raccoon in the park at night.

best of "photobooth" 2007

throughout the year, since max arrived, jeremy has photobooth sessions in front of the imac every few weeks. so you can see max growing before your eyes. which one is your favorite?

max and buddy

in the summer (7/25-8/14/2007) max and jeremy had an opportunity to foster an other min pin through minpinrescue.org where lots of dogs are cared for by families until a permanent family can be found.
we were lucky enough to have BUDDY LOVE with us for two weeks. buddy had the most amazing personality. he was so affectionate, so fun, so peaceful. he got along great with max, and when he was done playing was resting his head on jeremy's lap, or climbing into his lap for a nap.
fostering is an amazing way to meet a dog and give as much love and care as you have.
we miss buddy

memorial day 2007

max's world

max with his friends alper and gracie

one of max's best portraits to date.

here is max opening the summer season with his extended family in wainscott ny, over memorial day weekend.
max got to run off leash while outside for the first time, on the beach in the early morning. it was also the first time using the sherpa travel bag, and as nervous as jeremy was about traveling with max on the long island railroad, max is amazing in his sherpa bad. loves it. quiet and resting the whole way.
much more traveling to come.

perfect specimen

a young looking max enjoying walks in the park, showing off his youthful charm, wicked curiosity, and often being asked if he was a doberman puppy. with apparent puppy charms, and seemingly too large for a miniature pinscher, he seemed possibly like a little doberman.

i like what i see

the fountain at central park

the sandbox at the hudson river in riverside park

on a bench in central park

in riverside park on jeremy where max sits most of the time

some of my favorite spots in nyc. a very green place in the life of a dog.

its love

max and jeremy can be found lounging around at most times of the day. a match made in heaven

teddy blue becomes max uli-kai

april 29th 2007 sunday afternoon.
we have the arrival of a sweet four month old blue miniature pinscher to his new home with jeremy and extended family in nyc.
formerly teddy blue, jeremy had thought that max for different reasons would be suitable (king of the wild things) and when he jumped out of his crate and was already bigger then his same breed new friends (gracie and luna) MAX seemed more then fitting.
Uli-Kai is a variation of "Large blue ocean" in Hawaiian.
